The first ever elephant calf born at the Oklahoma City Zoo, Malee was born to mom Asha and dad Sneezy, a male elephant from the Tulsa Zoo. Her name means "flower" or "jasmine" in Thai. For more details about Malee's birth, click here.

The little one! Weighing approximately 300 pounds at birth, Malee now weighs more than 1,000 pounds but has a long way to go to catch up to her 8,000-pound mom!

Malee's Personality

-Very energetic and eager. 

-Loves playing and doing training sessions.

-Although she has just started eating solid foods, Malee already has some favorites, including bread, grapes and apples.
