Birthday Party FAQs
- Can I get a discount on the Zoo Birthday Party Packages with my ZooFriends membership?
-
ZooFriends membership discounts do not apply to the Zoo's birthday party packages.
- Do I need to bring plates, cups, drinks, etc….?
-
The Zoo will provide plates, silverware, cups, ice cream, napkins and juice for the children. If you are supplying food for your adult guests please plan to bring your own supplies for them.
- Can I come in and set up for my child’s Zoo birthday party early?
-
In most cases your birthday party group can enter the Zoo birthday party rooms about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled party time.
- Can I bring in outside food?
-
Yes, but each birthday party scheduled for the day has a set amount of time to get the party completed. You may have to move your food items to a picnic table within the Zoo. Please note that outside catering is not permitted on Zoo grounds.
- Can I bring balloons or a piñata for my child’s birthday party?
-
For the safety of our animals, piñatas, balloons and banners are not allowed on Zoo grounds. Please click here to see a list of items not permitted inside the Zoo.
- Who will be responsible for the kids during the party?
-
The Zoo birthday party host will facilitate your child's party, but parents are still responsible for their children's behavior.
- How many people can I invite to my child’s Zoo birthday party?
-
For a more memorable experience we suggest limiting your guest list to 15 children and 1 adult chaperone per child.
- Where will my child’s birthday party be held?
-
All birthday parties will begin in the Rosser Conservation Education Center which is at the far-east end of the Zoo’s main parking lot. When you send invitations please remind your guest to enter at the Education Center rather than the Zoo’s main entrance.
- Can I make substitutions to my child’s birthday package?
-
Package prices are all-inclusive and in order to provide the smoothest, most seamless party for your child we don’t allow substitutions.
- I do not want to pay for a birthday party package. Can I rent a picnic table within the Zoo?
-
The Zoo does not rent or reserve individual picnic tables. However, you are welcome to choose a picnic table on a first come, first serve basis to have your party as long as the area has not been rented out through our Group Sales department. Please note that balloons, piñatas, banners, glass bottles and straws are not allowed inside the park, and you can click here to see a list of other items not permitted inside the Zoo. You may bring in outside food and drinks, but outside catering is not permitted. If you anticipate your party to be larger than 50 people, please contact our Guest Relations office at (405) 425-0262 for Group Sales information.
