02:  Groundhog Day (10AM) – The Zoo’s “wild” meteorologists make their annual prediction.

24:  Dr Pepper Vending Machine Art Contest – Kids in grades K-12 are eligible. Entry forms available at and will be accepted through March 31.


Spring Break:

  • Stingray Bay opens for the season!

  • Keeper Connections begin and continue through October 26.

  • Sea Lion presentations begin.

08:  Read Across Oklahoma 2014 (9AM-1PM)

13:  Malee’s Birthday Bash (1-3PM) – Join us as we celebrate little Malee’s birthday! 

14:  Gorilla Golf (9AM) – Get on the green in support of gorilla conservation. Join us at Fairfax Golf Club, Edmond. Visit to learn more.

20:  HOPabaloo (1-3PM) – Hop to the Zoo for brunch with the Easter bunny and a day of fun, including an egg hunt with prizes for kids 5 and under. Call (405) 425-0262 to make your brunch reservations.

26:  National Guard Appreciation Day

27:  Party for the Planet (11AM-3PM) – Let’s celebrate this wonderful world and the wildlife we share it with!


03:  Late Saturdays – The Zoo stays open late to 8 p.m. on Saturdays through August 30.

10:  Ostrich Egg Breakfast (8-11AM) –The entire family will enjoy this fun and tasty tradition. Visit for ticket information.

11:  Mother’s Day – Moms get in for free with any paid admission.

  • Wild Tuesdays Story Time Safaris (9:30 & 10:30AM): Tuesdays in June and July kids 11 and under are invited to hear stories, meet a Zoo keeper and receive a free drink.

15:  Father’s Day – Dads get in for free with any paid admission.

26-31:  Haunt the Zoo for Halloween (6:30-8:30PM nightly) – Join us for the most fa”boo”lous Halloween event in town with six nights of trick-or-treating fun. Cost is $7 per child and adults are free.


08:  Zoo Career Series begins, 10-11:30 a.m.

11:  Veteran’s Day – All active duty, active reserves, retirees and up to five guests receives free admission.

15:  Zoo Cell Phone Challenge begins through Dec. 31, 2014.

26:  Free day at the Zoo.

27:  Thanksgiving Day – The Zoo is closed.

01-24:  Deck the Zoo – Bring an edible ornament to the Zoo and receive admission for $1.

01-31:  Wild Wish Tree donations for animal enrichment items begin.

01: Hippo Sing-a-long with Gayla Peevey, 11 a.m.

08:  Santa Delivers (10:30-11:30AM) – Santa will visit the Zoo. Enjoy free hot chocolate and doughnuts (while supplies last).
