Outdoor Facilities

     The Zoo has several options for your outdoor events. The Zoo's Catering Department must be utilized to rent outdoor facilities. Outside caterers are not allowed on Zoo grounds.  The picnic areas are available during regular Zoo hours in four (4) hour blocks (10 a.m.-2 p.m., and 4 p.m.-8 p.m.). The Zoo remains open until 8 p.m. on summer Saturdays only. For pricing, contact the Zoo Event Coordinator at kwatson@okczoo.com or call (405) 425-0289.

Jungle Gym Picnic Area
A shaded area for smaller picnics, includes picnic table seating.

This area seats groups up to 90 people. A minimum of 50 people is required to reserve this area. 

• Seating Capacity: 90 seats
• Availability: Daytime only (lighting not available)

Devon Energy Roughneck Pavilion
This covered pavilion provides a sheltered area by the lake for picnics, weddings, and other special events. Picnic table seating is included with a minimum of 100 people required to reserve this area.

• Seating Capacity: 500 seats
• Availability:  Daytime and Evenings until 11 p.m.
• Table Removal Fee: $600.00 (Weddings only)

Devon Energy Wildcat Pavilion
This covered Pavilion provides a sheltered area.  Great for picnics and special occasions. A minimum of 100 people is required to reserve this area

• Seating Capacity: 200 seats
• Availability: Daytime and Evenings until 11 p.m.

West Picnic Area
A shaded area for larger picnics is great for picnics and special occasions. A minimum of 100 people is required to reserve this area.

• Seating Capacity (includes uncovered areas): 1,000 seats
• Event Capacity: 2,000 people
