The Oklahoma City Zoological Park is looking for a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who will, under general supervision, conduct Saturday birthday parties for the Zoo’s Education Department. The ideal candidate must have the ability to engage and interact with children of varied ages and interests while in informal settings; comfort in handling/working with the educational live animals collection; and excellent customer service, public speaking, and acting skills.

Birthday party host must be available from 9:00 until 5:45. One set of parties is conducted at 10:00-11:30, 12:30-2:00, and 3:00-4:30. The other set is conducted at 10:30-12:30, 1:00-2:30, and (in spring/summer) 3:30-5:00. Host should arrive an hour before the party shift begins to set up. Clean-up after parties should be completed in 45 minutes. One uniform shirt will be supplied. Khaki work pants are host’s responsibility.

Requirements: Background in the sciences and an active interest in the dramatic arts. Familiarity with the Zoo a plus. Ability to work most Saturdays.
