Come join the Oklahoma City Zoo and be a part of a dynamic and progressive Safety and Security team! Oklahoma City is among the most economically healthy cities and living expenses remain favorable. We’re currently seeking an individual to provide leadership and supervision to the Security department; protect and safeguard personnel, guests and assets; and to facilitate adherence to all safety related codes, protocols and best practices in the industry. This critical role requires strong technical, organizational, and business skills necessary to deploy, maintain, improve, and ensure compliance with PEOSH and other government entities local, federal, and private. The ideal candidate must have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Zoo employees at all levels, law enforcement agencies, fire department, vendors, and the general public. A strong teamwork ethic, strong communications skills, and proven enthusiasm for our profession and institutional goals are required. 

This position requires experience equivalent to four years of full time work in law enforcement on a supervisory level, EMT certification and state license. Certified Safety Profession (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) designation preferred but not required.
