OKC ZOO TO HOST 2010 GOT MILK? MILK THE MOMENT TOUR
WHAT: 2010 Got Milk? Milk The Moment Tour
WHEN: Monday, April 26, 2010 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (weather permitting)
WHERE: Oklahoma City Zoo’s Global Plaza
DETAILS: The Milk Mustache Tour is currently in its 13th trek across the country and will be hosting a wellness event at the Oklahoma City Zoo on April 26. In effort to encourage Americans to drink more milk during everyday eating habits, the Milk Mustache Tour hosts a number of interactive on-site activities including:
- Free low-fat/fat free flavored milk and yogurt samples from Braum’s Ice
Cream and Dairy, Hiland Dairy and Borden Milk Products.
- Elsie the Cow mascot will meet and greet children.
- Check out the old fashioned Hiland Dairy Milk truck!
- Dinner-themed football toss activity for kids.
- A milk mustache photo booth. Attendees will receive a souvenir photo.
- Health assessments from a registered dietitian.
- Information about the health benefits of milk.
- Plus, Oklahoma City Vice Mayor Pat Ryan will be on-site to present the
“’Milk the Moment’ Family Dinner Day” proclamation at 11 a.m.
This event is free to attend. Regular admission does apply for Zoo entrance. Located at NE 52nd at Martin Luther King Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73111, in the heart of Oklahoma City’s Adventure District, the Zoo is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages three to 11 and seniors ages 65 and older.
