OKC ZOO HOSTS ANIMAL AUTHOR EXPO
Ooook-lahoma, where the pen comes sweepin’ down the page! Come and mingle with the wildest writers in Oklahoma at the Animal Author Expo. This event will be held on Saturday, July 25 from 9 a.m. to noon, in the Zoo’s Global Plaza. Both fiction and non-fiction authors will be present to showcase their books, meet-and-greet fans and sign autographs. Plus, additional books will be available for fans wishing to purchase these storybook classics.
Authors from across the state have bound together to take part in the Zoo’s Animal Author Expo. Writers attending this event include: Anna Myers, Tammi Sauer, Una Belle Townsend, Stacey Nyikos, Richard Trout, Glenda Carlile, Susan Meyers and many more! Plus, meet the Zoo’s own Amy Dee Stephens as she showcases her book, Oklahoma City Zoo: 1902-1959. Event activities are free with standard Zoo admission.
Visit the Oklahoma City Zoo today, Oklahoma’s #1 attraction and one of the top three family-friendly zoos in the nation. The wild is calling! Located at NE 52nd and Martin Luther King Blvd., Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73111, in the heart of Oklahoma City’s Adventure District, Zoo hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily during Morning Zoo Rise July 1 to August 16. Now through September, the Zoo will remain open until 8 p.m. on Saturdays with exhibit buildings closing at 7:45 p.m. Standard admission is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages three to 11 and seniors ages 65 and older.
