Resource Kits - Topics include oceans, tigers, the rainforest, etc. Suitcase for Survival - Touch endangered animal products, ranging from elephant ivory to seal fur. Zoo Grants Available for Schools and Organizations Oklahoma Zoological Society (OZS), the zoo’s nonprofit support group, wants to help ensure that every person, regardless of ability to pay, is given the opportunity to have an exciting and memorable educational experience at the Oklahoma City Zoo. Twice a year, OZS awards grants to schools and organizations to help defray the cost. Since the Zoo FUNd for Kids inception in 1997, OZS has awarded more than 1492 grants to 258 schools and 139 nonprofit organizations. The grants, totaling more than $695,633, benefited 184,942 students. Grant deadlines are October 1st (for Spring programs) and May 1st (for Summer and Fall programs).
