Volunteer Opportunities at the Oklahoma City Zoo

  • Junior Curator Program
We are looking for motivated individuals between the ages of 14 and 18 who are interested in Zoo careers to apply for our Junior Curator program! Each year we select 35 teens to embark on the journey of a lifetime. Junior Curators work behind the scenes with keepers and staff and get an up-close look at what it takes to run a zoo. Applications are due June 30, 2007. For more information call 405-425-0275.

  • Animal Area Volunteers
Recruitment for animal area volunteers will take place on Saturday, June 2nd at noon in the Rosser Conservation Education Center. Adults 18 and over interested in volunteering at the Zoo are invited to attend this recruitment and orientation session. Interviews will be held immediately following orientation. Volunteer time commitment is an 8-hour day, the same day each week for a minimum of four months. A valid TB test is required upon placement. For more information call (405) 425-0275.
